Bath Teas

bath-tea-diy-soak

I’m just going to say it- I am not a huge fan of baths.  I can however be persuaded given something to make it more luxurious and relaxing.

Bath teas make the perfect low-mess way to take your boring bath to a spa experience. These little organza bags (HERE) perfectly hold all of the large pieces of bath magic and prevent you from having to clean your tub after you’re relaxed.

If you are looking for something to do with your harvest, dried herbs and flowers bath teas make a great option. This base recipe makes it easy to design your very own signature bath teas!

In a bowl mix together:

1 Cup of Oats

1.5 Cups Epsom Salts

½-¾  Cup dried flowers or herbs

15 Drops of essential oils

-Blend together in a large bowl.

-Scoop ¼ cup of the mix into each organza bag. This recipe makes about 10 bath tea bags for us. Which makes them perfect for sharing or making in bulk for yourself!

Here are a few blends I’ve used in the past and really enjoyed-

¼ Cup German Chamomile

¼ Cup Calendula

¼ Cup Catnip

15 Drops of Clary Sage essential oil

—————————–

¼ Cup Lavender

¼ Cup Rose Petals

¼ Cup Chocolate Mint

10 Drops Lavender essential oil

5 Drops Peppermint essential oil
