Garlic White sauce

garlic-white-sauce-creamy

We have one child who can’t stand red sauce on her pizza or pasta. I can not stand the taste (or questionable ingredients) of store-bought white sauce, so for us, a good white sauce recipe is a staple. This sauce is creamy and full of flavor. It uses simple ingredients we almost always have on hand making it a great option for a last-minute dinner.

I also love the flexibility of this recipe. It makes a great sauce for pasta, gnocchi, and pizzas, although we could all eat it out of a bowl with a spoon.

To make this sauce heat a pan with olive oil over medium heat, add the garlic, and stir until fragrant. Add the flour and seasonings. Stirring continuously and cooking for about a minute. Then whisk in your milk or half and half. Continue to whisk until the sauce thickens. That’s it. Really, it’s that easy

Garlic White Sauce

This creamy sauce is simple to whip up with only a few ingredients & a few minutes you will have the perfect topping for pasta, pizza or even garlic bread dipping. We especially love it with gnocchi.
